Operation and characteristics of cookies
A cookie is a small text file that can be placed on your device when you visit a website or an application, thanks to your navigation software. A cookie file allows its issuer to identify the terminal in which it is stored, during the period of validity or registration of said cookie using the unique identifier contained in the Cookie file. Cookies have multiple uses: they can be used to facilitate your navigation, to make statistics of visits, to offer you personalized contents and advertisements etc. Some cookies are therefore essential to the use of the site, others allow to optimize and customize the displayed content.
When you log in to one of the pages of the site, we may, subject to your choices, install different cookies on your device allowing us to recognize the browser of your terminal during the validity of the cookie concerned.
The cookies we issue are used for the purposes described below, which result from the parameters you have entered during your visit and which you can express and modify at any time under the conditions set out in this policy.
Three categories of cookies are used for the purposes described below.
In full, we inform you, as far as possible, of the purpose of the third-party cookies that we know of and the means you have to make choices about them.
1. Cookies strictly necessary for the functioning of the site
These are essential cookies for site navigation (such as session identifiers) that allow you to use the main features of the site and secure your connection. These cookies are for technical purposes and are used for browsing sessions (technical browsing session, servers used), simplify the visit with adaptation to the criteria of display of your device (language used, for example), to detect a previous visit, registration of user preferences etc. These cookies are both deposited by AFD and by third parties. Without these cookies, you will not be able to use the site normally. They are exempt from obtaining consent and are not subject to the right of opposition. The lifespan of these cookies may vary by several months from their creation/update.
2. Performance cookies
These are cookies, issued by us or by our technical service providers, that allow us to know the use and performance of the site, to establish statistics and to count the visitors of a page in order to establish volumes of traffic (content visited, courses, etc.). In addition to analysing the number of visitors, they can also detect problems with navigation and thus improve the ergonomics of our services.
These cookies can thus collect the IP address, location (city), session time, pages consulted etc. The IP address is anonymised at short notice. The visitor analysis services used by our site only produce and address to our technical service providers or business partners aggregate statistics and attendance volumes, excluding any individual information. They do not track your navigation on other sites.
In accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL in force, these cookies are exempt from consent, insofar as cookies have purposes strictly limited to the measurement of the audience and the performance of our site, for the exclusive benefit of AFD and are solely intended to produce anonymous statistical data.
You can object to this via our cookie management platform or by deleting them via your browser settings, however your user experience may be degraded.
3. Third party cookies
Our site may contain cookies from third parties (social networks, advertisements, etc.). These cookies are placed directly by these social networks and may also collect information about your visits to our site and third-party sites in order to offer you advertisements. AFD has no control over the process used by these third-party applications to collect information relating to navigation on the site and associate it with the data they have. We therefore invite you to consult the privacy policies of these third parties in order to become aware of the purposes of use, including advertising, of the data they collect and their processing. These cookies require your consent.
PARAMETERS OF YOUR CHOICE
You have different ways to manage the implementation of cookies.
You can first choose to disable the implementation of cookies or delete those that would have already been installed on your computer, tablet or smartphone for all categories of cookies via your browser. You can also express your choice through our cookie management platform.
